Day Six!

Today the French Group took a road-trip to Avignon with Lawrence, Francoise, Melinda, Willy and Jennie. We started the day off with a boat tour of the Rhone River which flows by Avignon. There is nothing like going underneath a bridge while on a boat especially if it was designed by Gustav Eiffel! We then walked to Pont Saint-Benezet where we had a quiz about Avignon, listened to the audio tour, and sang the famous song "Sur le pont d'Avignon" together. We had lunch in the garden behind Palace of the Popes, and then did some shopping on Rue de la Republique.

Activity Groups 1 & 2 hit the hills with mountain bikes, Richard, Liana and water bottles. We huffed and puffed and made it to the overlook over the village of Salavas. At the bottom there was ice cream waiting for us!
