Grande Descent was a Success!
We just got back from the grande descent and there are smiles all around camp! The campers enjoyed seal launches on the first day which involves 5-6 campers sitting together in a yellow boat and sliding into the water. We paddled down some very fun and exciting rapids such as: Whirlpool, Madeleine, and Crusher! We all enjoyed an unforgettable 2 days working hard with our paddling partner while making fantastic memories, from the beauty of the natural reserve Des Gorges De L'Ardeche, setting up camp and having a barbeque and finally sleeping under the stars. We woke up to the sounds of birds chirping by the river.
After breakfast we embarked on another plentiful day of paddling. As you will see from the pictures the weather was perfect and luckily the wind was on our side! After a delicious dinner back at camp we are now preparing for tonight's talent show!
- Breakfast: Fresh bread, jam, nutella, assortment of cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, fresh fruit
- Lunch: Packed picnic lunch
- Dinner: Lasgna, salad buffet, ice cream
