Summer Camp Ardèche, France

Sunny, fun and exciting day!

The campers woke up to a sunny Ardeche day. After a healthy breakfast we strapped on our walking shoes and went on a beautiful hike along the riverside to the town of Vallon Pont d Arc. Every Thursday the town comes alive with the local market where people sell everything from fresh and exotic produce to traditional handmade arts and trinkets from the area. We ventured through the town enjoying ice cream and having a great time!

In the afternoon the campers got ready to spend the rest of the day on the river, as today we did the Mini Descente. The campers jumped into their canoes and set off to what promised to be a fantastic and adrenaline filled afternoon! Despite the wind, the campers managed to paddle down the rapids while learning to work as a team and having great fun. We stopped at Pont d Arc to relax and have delicious snacks such as fruit, biscuits or chocolate. Some campers cliff jumped while others swam in the river.

Dinner was received with hungry stomachs after the busy and fun afternoon. Today's tent inspection was the jungle! After a long day, we all enjoyed an evening of lounging out by the waterfront, having some campers dj-ing while others enjoyed games of footy, ping pong, badminton, and some were even dancing!

Tomorrow is q big day of mountain biking and the French excursion, may we sleep well tonight and have some great stories for you tomorrow!
