It's GRAND DESCENT DAY!

It's Grand Descent day and we have some very excited campers and counsellors alike are ready to hit the river and get paddling those rapids!
After a nutritious and filling breakfast the campers are all ready in their paddling gear with their barrels packed for the overnight adventure camping under the stars at Gournier Bivouc site. We are all set to hop on the river and paddle through some epic rapids. We will be stopping on the way for a scenic picnic lunch where there will also be the opportunity for the campers to plunge into the gorgeous Ardeche river with some cliff-jumping and rapid-swimming.
After paddling through a few more rapids including the elusive Dent Noir and with a quick stop for a snack we will be beaching up at our Bivouc site for the night and setting up camp. We will get to enjoy a delicious charcoal BBQ after which we will all enjoy a reflection period on the beach before sleeping out under the stars ready for day 2!

- Breakfast: Delicious fresh pain au chocolat with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt accompanied by a choice of orange juice and apple juice
- Lunch: Packed picnic lunch and salad
- Dinner: Delicious camp fire BBQ with burgers, beef sausages, lamb chops, cajun grilled vegetables and our famous VC banana boats for dessert
