Indy Parc, Beach Paaarty and Canoe Commando

After yesterday's amazing day in Avignon, the River Adventure and French teams woke up for another great day in the Ardeche.
It started with a nice breakfast and making our packed lunches, before heading to the ropes course just ten minutes away from camp! Once at Indy Parc, everyone spent their time climbing up trees, testing their agility on swings, slides, ladders, and ???. doing 250 meter long zip-lines! By 1pm, everybody was back to meet up with the French language students who were making a banner for their cabin, whilst speaking French, and taking turns to talk about their countries.
As soon as the sound system was brought down to the beach, the beach party could get started, with some music, some tie-dye for the VC t-shirts, as well as some arts and crafts. When we'd all changed into our swimming gear we jumped in the river to cool off. Boy, was that good! As the afternoon continued, the BBQ was fired up for dinner on the grass facing the river.
Right now, everyone is enjoying Canoe Commando, where the boats are spread out on the field and used as hiding spots from the watchful eyes of the counsellors at the other end. When they turn around campers have to run to the next refuge until reaching the upside-down canoe where noodles were hidden, right under the counsellor's noses. They then have to run all the way back to the start line with the noodles and without being seen.
Tomorrow will be another day on the river if the stormy weather stays away - YAAAY !!!
- Breakfast: A selection on breakfast cereals with fruits, yoghurt and honey. Baguette with butter and jam. Orange and apple juice.
- Lunch: Wraps with a selection of meats, cheeses, and salads.
- Dinner: A BBQ with pork sausages, burgers, roasted vegetables, salads and bread.
