Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
The First Day of Camp!
The first full day of camp kicked off with a bang as Greens got creative and played Animal Safari in the Village Camps building and had a town tour of Leysin where they enjoyed time in the village playground. The Yellow, Reds and Blue Adventure campers went down to the Old Sports Ground to play some team building games where they had to test their memory skills, teamwork ability and many other important skills.
The STEM Robotics campers had their first day exploring the world of robotics and our French and English Language students got introduced to their classrooms, counsellors and fellow classmates.
After lunch, the Greens headed down to the Suchet forest and tried their hand at Archery with our fantastic Archery specialist Naceur and then head off to the Suchet to play some games.
In the Raging Red Race Off, the campers were taken to the beautiful Prafandaz view point and split off into their counsellor groups to compete in various relay style races and games. The Yellows were treated to a tour of the town and a fun afternoon of Bouldering and Tennis, while the Blues had fun on a slip and slide baseball game in the Big Blue Activity.
In the evening it was a camp favourite... "Terminator!". The Greenies and Yellows teamed up to save Village Camps from a horde of invading robots, after which they chose one of the robots to be soaked in a gallons of water! The Reds spent their evening session playing Survival in the Suchet forest, while the Blues were dodging and weaving in the gym during a friendly game of Dodgeball.
- Breakfast: Pancakes with syrup and cereal bar, yoghurt, fruit.
- Lunch: Mashed potato with Beef/Vegetarian Stew. Pasta with Bolognaise or Meat Sauce, Salad bar.
- Dinner: Fried chicken breast with french fries and spinach and Coconut Brownies for dessert.
