Another Day in Paradise
Now that the campers are settling into their VC life, things are starting to heat up! Yellows tried their hands at all sorts of different and unique sports: from the woodland obstacle course: "nightline" to Archery! Members of the sports program tried out beach volleyball and flexed their athleticism at the gym.
The Blues had a very exciting day at the mountain hut hike, for some it was their first time hiking and they did an amazing job. While others were natural and made it all the way to the top of Pic-Chaussy! After an exhausting few hours everyone made it safely to the hut, to enjoy a delicious BBQ cooked by our adventure counsellor Joe, and if they were brave enough have a cold dip in the stunning glacier lake!
While back at camp, after a delicious lunch and a hilarious secret friends (where campers got to express their love for their friends and co-campers) Some Played Tennis, Bouldering or Archery, while others had Art, Dance or Bobsled! Feel the Rhythm! Feel the Rhyme! Come on everybody it's Bobsled time! Coooooool Runnings!
The Evening finished with reds letting off some steam at dodgeball, yellows gliding along in the ice skating ring and the rest of the campers sitting around a campfire roasting some marshmallows. Except for those staying the night at our mountain hut, who will have a wonderful sleepover in the wild, I hope they brought earplugs, I hear the roosters can be very loud in the morning. Oh well, what a wonderful natural alarm clock. Goodnight...
