Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Friday Finale...
Dawn broke this morning on the last full day of camp for our campers this session!
The morning kicked off with some fun forest games in the Suchet, where the Red's and Yellow's played games like Knot Together, Skis Relays, Fire Building, Funny Souvenir, Shelter Building, Frisbee and Slack Line. For each rotation of the game, they had to do their best at completing the tasks given and in return, receiving points. The team with the most amount of points won the challenge! ( getting a cookie as a reward)
In the afternoon all of the colour groups got to make their way down to the village for some shopping, whether it was some snacks or souvenirs to bring back home to their families. They finished packing their bags and headed down to the big dining hall for dinner. Everybody enjoyed some roast dinner and ice cream. rolling down to the downstairs auditorium for party time!
The eventful evening started off with a video from the STEM robotics, about a little robot they built named Ho Capito. Then the greenies did a dance show for everyone. But the biggest show was from the performing arts class, who have been practising many shows these past two weeks. They performed many dances, all in the honour of ABBA, there was Money Money Money and Mamma Mia! Tahnee did a BIG thank you to all the staff that have been working very hard for the last 2 weeks, including the cleaners, chefs, driver, photographers, management team and all the counsellors. AND of course, a thank you to all the kids' parents who organized for them to come to Village Camps! After everybody broke the dance floor with their fancy dance grooves and dancing shoes at the disco. There was hardly a dry eye in sight as the partying quietened down and friends started saying goodbye to each other. These two weeks have been so special for everyone in so many ways, and the campers have made lifelong connections!
Well, tonight is the last night the kids will be enjoying sleeping together with their friends and foes. So let's wish them a goodnight and sweet dreams with Village Camps.
