Welcome to Switzerland!
Village Camps is back for the summer! A huge welcome to everyone joining us this year, whether you are a new camper or a returning one! We are so excited to have you here with us for this unforgettable summer of new experiences.
Today we have had people from all over the world travel to join us in beautiful Leysin, and our lovely counsellors (and an awesome balloon arch) were there to greet everyone. New friendships are already being made, and joyful reunions between returning campers were shared. The camp may be shrouded in fog today, but the smiles of our campers are shining bright!
After campers hugged their families goodbye, they got creative making their name tags and then ran off to play fun games around camp. From football and volleyball to chess and cards, the campers had a variety of ways to pass the time until the camp program officially started! Some daring campers even scaled the climbing wall in the Village Camp moat!
Our counsellors introduced themselves and performed a fun song and dance for our campers at the first whole-camp-meeting of the year! The green, yellow, red, blue and LTC campers then split off into their counsellor groups- these groups will be like their family while they are at camp! After a delicious dinner made by our wonderful chefs, the groups played games and icebreakers together to get to know each other better.
After a tiring yet rewarding day of travelling and settling in, our campers headed to bed to rest up for tomorrow's adventures!

- Lunch: Brunch: Omelet, No pork sausage, Grilled tomatoes, Sautéed Mushrooms, Rosti patties, Vegetarian Option, Baked beans, Pain au chocolat, croissant, choice of cakes, salad buffet.
- Dinner: Salad Buffet, Turkey cordon bleu, French fries, Broccoli, Pasta station, Vegetarian schnitzel, Ice cream.
