Friday Finale
The time has finally come for our last full day at Village Camps this session. Our campers spent today reflecting on their time here with their camp friends… even though they've only known each other for two weeks, there have been many lifelong friendships forged. Despite the emotions that always come with camp coming to an end, our campers made the most of their last day.
Tennis Camp, English, French and Lab Explorers wrapped up this morning- our campers from these courses should be very proud of how much they have achieved. The Greenies got to shop as well as pack for tomorrow and prepare to have a boogie at the Friday Finale party tonight! Yellows and Reds both had their own “Adventure Challenge” mornings where they got to play games and challenges and compete to get the most points in their teams! Campers were ranked on how well they could build a fire, build a shelter, tightrope walk, tie rock climbing knots, walk in a huge pair of skis that multiple people were strapped into, and make a skit! Our Blues had their go at the high ropes this morning. The rope swings and zip lines made for a perfect last adventure for them all to do together.
After the morning activities, our campers got some time to shop, play some sports and pack for tomorrow. This time served as a nice respite from the chaotic fun that they all had later!
When the finale finally arrived, our campers got dressed to impress and made their way to have a fancy dinner with their camp companions. During dinner, they got to watch slideshows of their best memories from the past two weeks. Next, they moved to the auditorium to share projects, videos, and achievements from their time here with the rest of the camp! A final iconic “secret friends” happened where campers got to continue to send anonymous compliments to each other. Afterwards, things heated up as our campers tore up the dance floor, partying and dancing to some classic sing-along tunes.
Hugs were shared and even some tears were shed as our campers began to say goodbye to each other. Even though their time at camp may be coming to an end, their new friendships are only just beginning!
Thank you so much to each and every camper for making this session unforgettable. We hope you have had a wonderful summer with us here at Village Camps, and hopefully, we will see some of you again next year!
