Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Between Rain and Sun!
Today has really showed us how the weather in the mountain can be like, even in the summer! We alternated between the sun and some rain, to fresh up!
Our Greenies and Yellows headed to the forest in the morning for nature games! The thick woods were perfect to cover our campers both from the sun and the occasional rain drops! For the rest of the day the campers spilt up to try different sports including: archery, gym sports, beach volley, football and basketball! In the evening, the Greenies will have their own slumber party!
The day started off with mountain biking and climbing for the Reds! They were able to climb the indoor tracks in Old Sports and advance on their technical knowledge! In the afternoon the whole group headed to the Mont Blanc field for the ''Big Red Mashup'', with group games to help everyone bond! The finished off their day with ice-skating in the ice ring in Old Sports!
The Blue campers also headed to the forest today to learn how to build natural and tarp shelters to protect themselves in the wild from extreme weather conditions! Their afternoon included additional nature adventures as they headed for an easy hike up our wonderful mountains! They will be able to relax and work their mind in the evening with the quiz event ''R U Smarter Than Ur Counsellor ?''
It has been such an exciting day and tomorrow is announced to be even more exciting with our ''Festival Friday'' event about to start!
- Breakfast: Continental Breakfast and Pancakes
- Lunch: Salad Buffet, Chicken Curry (with vegetarian option), Basmati Rice, Wok Veggies, Pasta Station, Fresh Fruits
- Dinner: Salad Buffet, Lamb Chops (Vegetarian Option: Falafel Scallop), Gratin Dauphinois, Cauliflower, Pasta Station
