Summer Camp LTC, Leysin

23rd July 2013

Mr. Phil and Much More!

This morning we had another rousing talk from Mr. Phil. He spoke about many things including being thankful for what we have and appreciating the stage of life that we are in as it will change soon enough, that being a good leader requires taking risks and feeling challenged, it is important to realize the obstacles that block our creativity and keep us from achieving our goals and figuring out how to break down those barriers.

It was a clear day and many of us took advantage of the amazing weather and ate lunch out on the patio and relaxed in the sunshine before heading inside for our first afternoon activity.

Our small groups presented "Event X" proposals, 3 of the teams presenting the same AquaPark activity. Others included a nearby labyrinth, staying in Leysin to play a game and have a pizza partyx, crepes, telecabine and ice cream, paddleboarding on the lake in Montreux. It was a close vote between paddleboarding and the AquaPark but the park won and we will be headed there on Friday for our last outing together.

Our second afternoon activity was a rousing game of Konkin-a game with opposing teams attempting to kick a bucket without being caught by the other team. After that we had free time during which most of us hung out in pool.

For the evening we went to the Mont Blanc Palace for a disco night. Music was pumping and the dance floor a busy place!
