Ice Skating!
This morning the campers heard another inspiring talk by David Allen. Throughout his talk, he included many activities that required teamwork, such as the human knot and a game requiring transporting tennis balls using string! At the end Russ, the mentalist, returned to do another short session on hypnosis!
In the afternoon the campers broke into their event X groups to finish preparing and then present their presentation. All of the presentations were very entertaining and well prepared. After a vote the decision was made to go Paddle Boarding on Friday morning, with Aqua Park as the rain plan! We finished off the afternoon with an activity called Egg Drop. With this activity each team is given various materials including balloons, string, tape, construction paper, plastic bags, straws and elastics. A team is able to trade materials with the other teams through negotiating. The goal is to create a device that will prevent an egg from breaking when being thrown from the hotel balcony.
In the evening, we headed to the ice rink for some skating! Everyone laced up their skates and took to the ice! For some campers this was their first time skating and for others' they skated as if they grew up on ice! Even though many campers fell, everyone was in good spirits and kept getting back up and trying again!
