Arrivals' day for our LTC programme!
Here we are: arrivals' day is here for the LTC programme!
In this beautiful sunny day, we welcomed all of our 34 campers. We welcomed them at our Village Camps main location, and after a brief check-in we took them to the place where we are all staying, the Alpine Classic Hotel, a very comfortable and central place. After lunch, some staff members and the campers that had arrived so far went to the local swimming pool to relax a bit and start getting to know each other. Leysin is a truly beautiful mountain town, that our campers got to explore and visit briefly: the most important and interesting locations were pointed out so that the campers could familiarize themselves with their home for the next two weeks.
After a very filling and delicious dinner served as buffet, we all got together; at first the counsellors introduced theselves, then they outlined the main camp rules, that was followed by some ice-breaker games, so to get to know each other. We ended the evening with singing 'happy birthday' to one of the campers, who turned 16 today.
