Summer Camp LTC, Leysin
Leadership all the way!
It's the second day here at camp and we can say that it is in full swing now.
In the morning we had our first external guest speaker, Mr Beezy: he is an internationally renowned motivational speaker, who speaks in front of children and teenagers in schools and private organisations. He gave some very useful and insightful information about leadership, such as leadership styles and motivational speaking. Mr Beezy used a method which combines some "theory" with a lot of practice, doing lots of activities and workshops to inspire and entertain our campers.
In the afternoon we had our "Amazing Leadership Event": the campers were divided up into groups and they had to complete a list of things to do and find around the town of Leysin, and take photos of it; it was a sort of photo scavenger hunt. The winners got chocolate and a lot of satisfaction. This was followed by the usual fun and relaxing free time.
After the usual tasty meal, we had a relaxing but also very fun evening, during which we played running charades and mafia. This introduced the following topic which will be tackled tomorrow: body language.
- Breakfast: Cereals, fresh fruit, bread, yogurt, toast
- Lunch: Pasta, milanese, peas; salad buffet; cake
- Dinner: Meat options (veal, chicken), cooked vegetables, dessert options
