Our day in Lisbon!
Time for Lisboa!!
This morning all campers boarded the bus to finally go see what the capital of Portugal had to offer. Excited and full of energy the campers departed from grey skied Santa Cruz to find that sunshine had already reached Lisbon during our journey time of roughly an hour.
Our first stop of our city tour was the tower of Belem where we snapped our first group photo and Joana shared some interesting historical insights with us. An ice cream break later we all assembled to continue to our next destination which is not your typical Lisbon tourist attraction but something far more people should know about. It is The Pavilion of Knowledge called Ci??ncia Viva which is an interactive science and technology museum that aims to stimulate scientific knowledge and promote scientific culture among all citizens. During our 90 minutes there the campers gott o try everything from cycling on a high rope to making a giant soap wall, experimenting with colour and light and last but not least visit the angry birds exhibition.
Our last item on the list for Lisbon was of course some free time for the campers where they could have a wander around and do some last minute souvenir shopping. In the late afternoon we all made it back on the bus together where karaoke has turned out to be the most popular activity between campers and so we had a nice little concert on our way back.
As our first week of camp is almost coming to an end we were treated with a special dinner followed by a movie night in our big activity room with popcorn and real cinema feel.
