Summer Camp Santa Cruz, Portugal

19th July 2018

Daytrip to Setubal!

Today all our campers had the great pleasure to go to a very special place here in Portugal called Setubal. It is famous for its dolphin community that always stays around this area and so all 56 campers went on a Catamaran to go and find them.

The campers were especially lucky since only 20 minutes after the start we already saw the first dolphins in the distance. It did not take long until these very curious creatures had developed an interest in us and accompanied the Catamaran for a little while before they headed off into a different direction again. It was really extraordinary to be so close to these animals and surely will make for an experience that the camper will not forget.

After the Catamaran we all had lunch in a beautiful park on the Troia peninsula which was followed by some shopping time and a few campers going to the beach for a quick swim before we all reunited to head back to the Pousada.

After such a long and exciting day the campers had a very successful pool party in the evening and are excited to start their last day tomorrow!
