Fun at the beach!!
Today after the surfers had already left to start their next lesson at the beach, the adventure campers also packed their flip flops, water bottles and enough sun cream to prepare for a day at the beach. We started this day with a Cliff discovery session where we explored the beautiful landscape around Santa Cruzes coast at low tide. This means that we had an incredible insight into the local ecosystem examining the beauty of marine life.
To explore this even further we had a session booked at the Santa Cruz ??? where the campers enjoyed a very informative session on the pollution of the sea and also got to hear about some very unknown sea creatures that have left some lasting impressions.
In the afternoon the surfers and the adventurers reunited to head to the beach together for some fun games and activities. This included some sandboarding, volleyball, sandcastle building and some wave catching in the wonderful Portuguese sunshine.
In the evening the campers got some time to prepare for the talent show tomorrow night and as I am writing this I can already hear talented voices and am really excited for all the wonderful performances awaiting us tomorrow.
Sandra is our awesome receptionist here at the Pousada in Santa Cruz. With her friendly and helpful attitude, she is making us feel all right at home and we are very happy to work together with her on a daily basis. When asked about her favourite place in this world she answered with ???Wherever my family and friends are.???
- Breakfast: Banana milkshake, sausages, eggs, bread and butter and jam, yoghurt, yoghurt cake, carrot cake
- Lunch: Chicken and rice, broccoli, veggie soup and salad bar, custard cream, bread
- Dinner: Burgers with fries, salad and soup, Portuguese sweet rice with cinnamon
