Summer Camp Santa Cruz, Portugal

30th July 2018

It is time for the Beach Olympics!

While other people star their week by commuting to work our adventure campers got to drive to a water playground today. Even though the weather did not treat us with sunshine the enthusiasm for the sides and aqua fun was high and as soon as we arrived our fifteen dedicated adventurers started their little study of how they could slide down the quickest or how many kids would be able to slide down together.

After a good morning of fun we returned to camp to meet up with the surfers for lunch who had a good session down by the ocean. In the afternoon we then gathered all together to head down to the beach for the second sessions Beach Olympics. We had four teams competing in six different games, collecting points all the way through a frozen T-shirt race, the water bucket challenge, the crazy caterpillar and many more.

Cheerful and ready for a break the campers got some free time in town afterwards and then we headed back to the Pousada where dinner was already awaiting us.

Once the campers were fully recharged we started our Carnival games - which were a fun chance for our teams to gain more points and turn the scores around. The final winner was allowed to pick their favourite counsellors to take a dive into the pool and so Joana and Morgan went for a late night dive.

Goodnight and until tomorrow!
