Summer Camp Santa Cruz, Portugal
First day of Camp!
Hello! Today was the first day filled with activities for our new campers. After breakfast we made sure that all of the surf and adventure campers got to see each others faces while playing some team building games! We had a lot of little stations with different challenges to put their team working skills to test! Some of them were on the grass and some was waterbased in the pool.
After lunch it was time for the campers to go to their respective activities. The surfers went down to the beach for the first session with the amazing coaches. They got to know the basic techniques needed before entering Portugals wonderful waters for the first time and then they tried it out in the water. In a couple of days they're all gonna be pro surfers!
Our adventures got split into three groups and went on some different adventures. Group 1 got to try out some longboarding, for some of them it was the first time ever on a longboard so they made sure to go over the basics. And for the more experienced skaters the coach had some harder moves up his sleeve.
Adventure group 2 got to go on a lovely beach cliff discovery hike! They all loved the view and had such a good time. The hike ended up on the beach so when they got there they could go for a swim in the water to cool off.
Group 3 spent the afternoon improving their biking knowledge. They went on a long bike ride in various terrain. After they made it up the steep hill the rest was a breeze! They also got to see the beautiful scenery here in Portugal while riding over the dunes. The dunes are a sandy part next to a cliff with beautiful view of the sea.
After we all had dinner it was time for todays evening activity which was Eggstreme Games! In Eggstreme games the campers had to complete challenges to the best of their ability to get as much material as possible. The material they got they have to use for the grand finally of the games which is an egg drop! So each team got different amount of material and the end goal is to make sure their teams egg doesn't break from the drop.

- Breakfast: Pancakes, cereal with yoghurt, bread with jam, cheese and turkey.
- Lunch: Beef with mushrooms, rice, potatoes, pasta and a salad buffet
- Dinner: Poultry burger patties with potatoes, rice, cottage cheese and pumpkin.
