Village Camps - A Toy Chest of Adventure!
And that's exactly what it was! The day started with the Dark Destroyer, the Grinch's cousin, trying to take away all the toys and 'destroy' Special Day for the Who family and all the campers at Village Camps. Fortunately, the Who family, and all the campers worked together to defeat him!! The toys in the toy chest came to life and helped the Who family and campers save the day!
Once the 9s and senior groups went off to the pool, the Olympics for the 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s and 8s took place. Spirits were high as they tackled the obstacle course, jumped through hula hoops, dodged balls flying through the air and kept the parachute off the ground. It was fun for all, but the best was yet to come; hamburger, salad and chips! Once their tummies were full and practice for the show was over, the Carnival came alive!
At the Carnival all the campers won lots and lots of prizes by playing: 'Pin the Tail on the Pappa Bear', 'Crazy Cups', 'Bean Bag Toss', 'Blind NBA', 'Drivers Education', 'Dizzy Drawing' and 'Fantasy Football'. And then it was time for the grand show! Some of the senior campers did a parody of our specialist staff - there were some very convincing performances. Next up were all the Senior groups who did a dance, but were interrupted by a stampede of animals from the Mini Camp. The animals showed us their dancing skills. Finally, we were treated to a singing and dancing ensemble by the rest of the campers. It was a fabulous performance and we ended the first session by celebrating with ice lollies!
