Summer Camp VDC Geneva
Water and sun cream going all around!
Today was another bright and sunny day at Village Day Camps! The groups who went swimming and kayaking were particularly happy with this sunny weather. A few of the kayakers, who accidentally ended up in the lake, reported that the water was quite warm! There were many different groups at the pool today - 5s (in the indoor pool), 8s, 4s, 9s, and SB1 - and most were busy working towards their swim badge. Well done to all the campers for all their hard work!
As always there were loads of different activities on camp today. Lakhdar, our Luna sports specialist, was busy giving out small prizes to campers who tried their best and participated fairly in sports. Ashley, in music, started working with the children on our next Special Day. Nancy, in dance was busy teaching the 7s an energetic dance. The 4s - 8s finished up their mugs in pottery - and they will be bringing them home over the next few days, so keep your eye out for them. Many different groups were busy doing papier mache in arts and crafts; this is a step-by-step process and we are sure that they are going to end up with some fabulous works of art!
The weather forcecast is excellent for the rest of the week - so just remember to come to camp with hats, water and wearing lots of sun cream!
