Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
The hotel is full
Finally the day has come! The hotel got filled up with happy and excited campers, who can't wait to experience the true camp feeling. We got up early in the morning, to make the building more camp like, so we made signs and posters, and put them on the wall and in different areas.
When our first vans and taxis came in, everything and everyone was ready. After checking in with the Camp Director, the campers headed toward the nurse whom they told their illnesses, and medicines they took, if there were any. After that they got up their rooms, met their roomies and unpacked their luggage. Most of the kids arrived before 18:30 when we had our dinner.
After that we held the first all camp meeting where our Camp Director gave instructions to the kids,set the boundaries and told the rules. Finishing with that, all of the campers got into their counsellor groups and played name and ice breaker games to get to know each other a little bit better. It was a tiring day, but this is how usually a camp starts. Tomorrow is a real camp day...can't wait to get started!
