Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria

27th July 2011

Salzburg day

At 0830 the bus arrived to take us all to Salzburg with a stop at the Hellbrunn Castle. When we arrived we were given a tour and learned a brief history of the castle, how old it was(400 years old!) and how the upkeep is ongoing. We saw the beautiful gardens and played in the water garden, what an amazing place. We ate our packed lunches there in the play ground and enjoyed the sun. At 1230 it was time to board the bus and head into Salzburg. On the bus the campers were divided into groups told our meeting place and all headed off to see the sights in the birth place of Mozart and do a little shopping. The weather was with us for this day. The city is a wonderful place to shop and soak up the history of one of Austria's most famous places. We tried our hand at busking as well as being given some history of the beautiful city. We weren't, quite ready to leave but it was time to go after an active fun day in Salzburg. Arriving back at Village Camps about 1730 it was time to put away our shopping and get ready for dinner.

This Evening is a relaxing time watching a movie. A good day was had by all.
