Off to the Mountain Hut!
Today we woke up to low hanging clouds that quickly turned into a rain shower. The schedule had been prepared for sun or rain. Had there been sun, the campers would have hiked down to the pool again. However, the rain kept us indoors and the campers were sent to their rooms to clean up their suits cases which in many instances look as if they exploded. Plus, the campers had to pack for their mountain hut excursions that they will be leaving on after lunch.
The campers had a long list of items to pack, which were picked out to keep them warm high up on the mountains where they will spend the night. They were not allowed to leave there rooms until a counselor said that it was clean and made sure that they were all packed and ready to go. Then the campers got free time, which they all enjoyed.
The lunch was warm, hardy and filling and put all of the campers in a good mood and ready for the short hikes up to the mountain hut.
The campers were split up into three groups: yellows, red and blue girls and red and blue boys. They all went to different huts with different counselors.
At the huts the campers had dinner and played games all evening until it was time for lights out where they snuggled under blankets in their separate cozy huts high up in the Alps.
- Breakfast: Cereal Bar, fresh fruit, cold cuts and vegetables.
- Lunch: Spaghetti Bolognese, Tomato Sauce, Salad Bar, Fresh Fruit
