Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria

Excursion to Salzburg

And yet another amazing excursion day!
After breakfast, everyone packed a sack lunch and hopped on the bus to Hellbrunn and then onto Salzburg for a day of sightseeing and shopping. First stop was Hellbrunn Palace, once a summer residence of an Archbishop in Salzburg. The gardens are filled with beautiful flowers, green grass, parks, and not to mention, the famous "trick" water fountains. The grounds are a water park, filled with hidden trick fountains that spray out from the ground, walls, and even the tables. After Hellbrunn and lunch in the park, the next stop was Salzburg. Campers were given a few hours to go out and explore the city, buy souvenirs, or do some shopping.

Tonight's activity was a campfire. It was a perfectly clear and calm night for roasting marshmallows around a fire and playing soccer and American Football. Some particularly talented musicians lead singing and guitar playing, while others showcased their circus skills.

All and all, a tiring yet fulfilling day.
