VC Film Fest!!
Roll out the red carpets, ladies and gentleman, our film campers' big day has finally arrived! However before their film debuts we had an exciting morning and relaxing afternoon at camp. Our Mountain & Lake Adventure campers were surprised with two totally exciting excursions. Our yellows got to try kayaking in the lake at Zell, then board a giant stand-up paddle board together to maneuver the lake. The reds and blues suited up in wet suits to ride the rapids in white water rafting. The brave campers paddled hard and confronted giant waves head on to reach the final destination as a team, so fun!
We spent the afternoon, first, playing field games with one of our favourite games: Buggy Up!-- then went to pass a few hours at the pool swimming and chilling out with our friends to maximize the remaining time we have left together.
Our featured activity of the day started after dinner where all the campers gathered (and we swear we saw some paparazzi as well!) to watch the premier of 10 film camper films. We watched in awe as we finally viewed the work of our friends over the past two weeks. In general the film topics dealt with familiar and personal topics which we all could relate to in some way, and at the end we were very impressed by the talent of these new film directors and actors. What an awesome night!
