Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Welcome to Zell am See!
Hi everyone,
the camp has officially started and almost all of our campers are here (some of them are still on their way to the camp from the airport). Some people have traveled for a long time and so they are a bit tired. Today the campers got to know which colour group they are in, did the health check with our health care counsellor Katka, tried on the Village Camps t-shirts and did the language placement tests. We also played all kinds of games (Uno and Jenga, for example), some of us went outside to play tennis. Others went to the indoor swimming pool in Zell am See. It was quite rainy most of the day, and it could be that way the next week, but we can only hope for the better weather and adapt to whatever the mountains give us.
The highlight of the day without any doubts was FOOTBALL. Classrooms were filled with people and there was strong support for both teams - Croatia and France. Emotions were strong, people were jumping, screaming, smiling, clapping, everything (evidence is in the daily photo album). Those who are from France or speak French left the classrooms more than happy and talked about football the whole dinner. In the evening we talked about the camp rules and did the building tour.
Now it is time for bed so that tomorrow we can start another beautiful day in Austria filled with adventures, joy, and meeting new people. Goodnight from Austria.
