Last Full Day in the Ardeche!
It is hard to believe that today is the last day of Summer camp in the Ardeche! It has been a fantastic two weeks, and it would not have been possible without our wonderful campers. Their positive energy has been contagious and the staff are so proud of them for trying new things while having FUN!
Some of the highlights of our time together at camp have been the French excursion to Avignon where we visited the famous "Palace of the Popes", The ropes course, our whole camp excursion to Montpellier, our daily activities such as canoeing, French class, archery, caving, football, rock climbing and our grand finale of this session, the grande descent! The entire camp came together and worked as a group to make it an unforgettable experience. Along with having fun in the rapids, swimming and playing games, every single camper took on various responsibilities whether it be motivating and cheering on their paddling partner, carrying the bivouac kit from their canoes to the campsite, or helping the counselors clean the camp site before leaving to paddle day two of our adventure. It is rare and wonderful to have an entire group of campers who are willing to participate and help out where needed; this session we had just that!
The campers and staff are getting ready to sit down for our last dinner together, and will dance their hearts out at this evening's DISCO!
It is a bitter sweet evening for us all. We are excited to go home and at the same time sad to say goodbye to our new friends....Until next year!

- Lunch: Packed picnic lunch
- Dinner: Salad buffet, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, and chocolate brownies for desert!
