AM News:
We have woken up to another beautiful day here in the Ardeche. After a delicious hot breakfast served up by our wonderful chef Doug and kitchen babes Annalise and Maria all the campers were ready to head off on their morning excursion. We did a quick tent inspection to make sure all their wet clothes from the grand descent were up on the clothes line drying and not still in their tents! The bank then opened up for the campers to get their spending money. We all donned our stylish VC t-shirts and hopped on the bus to take us into the market.
The bustling market was a welcome sight to the campers who were all eager to buy some souvenirs and sample some french cuisine with lots of bakeries and cheese stalls open. Some campers even treated themselves to a scoop or two of the delicious gelato offered in the local ice-cream shop. They all arrived back at lunch-time ready for our scrumptious hot lunch eaten under the cool shade of the terrace.
All the campers are now ready for their activities of the afternoon with the French programme campers braving the heights at Indy Parc while the River programme campers check out the amazing Aven d'Orgnac where they get treated to a spectacular light and sound show at the end.
PM News:
The campers are all tucked up in bed after a great day here. Those who opted for the Indy Parc experience had a brilliant time on all the ziplines, barrel walks and tunnels in the air. The other group who went to Aven d'Orgnac came back full of wonder about what they had seen and experienced and some even asked if they could go back again!
The day was finished off nicely with an energetic disco where the campers showed off all their dance moves and boogied the night away to all their favourite tunes.
We are all sad that tomorrow is our last day here at Village Camps Ardeche but we all know it's going to be one great day. Tune in tomorrow to hear what we have in store...
- Breakfast: Delicious fresh pain au chocolat with a selection of beef sausages, grilled tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt accompanied by a choice of orange juice and apple juice
- Lunch: Hot pasta bake
- Dinner: tbaDoug's special Chilli con carne served on a bed of rice. Accompanied by a selection of delicious salads with a scrumptious pear tart to finish.
