Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Fun in the Sun on Taco Tuesday!
It's another beautiful day in Switzerland and we had a packed schedule for our campers to enjoy today. The Yellow Adventure campers kicked off the morning with a game of "Lost" where they practiced some survival skills and put them to the test. Fire making, shelter building and knot tying were the essential skills of the day. Meanwhile, the Blues split into 2 groups and went off to the quarry for some rock climbing and down to the village for mountain biking. The Greenies started the morning with some arts and crafts before heading off for a swim.
After lunch and a round of "Secret Friends!", the campers went off to their afternoon activities. For the Yellows and Greens, this was the "Big Grellow!", where they got to play a bunch of different activities and games. The Red and Blue Campers had a wide variety of afternoon sign-up activities to choose from including Beach Volleyball, Mini Golf, Ultimate Frisbee and many more.
In the evening, the Reds got creative with "VC Idol!" where they made music videos to be shown at the VC awards after the excursion on Saturday. The Yellows and Greens hit the ice at the skate rink and the Blues got to test their wits in a game of "Are you smarter than your counsellor?"
- Breakfast: Fried eggs, Cereal bar, Toast, Yoghurt and Fruit.
- Lunch: Potato Croquettes with Chicken or Mushroom in cream sauce, Pasta Bar with bolognaise/Tomato Sauce.
- Dinner: Taco Tuesday (Mince, Rice, Vegetables, Guacamole, Salsa, Sour Cream and Taco Shells), Pasta and Sauce, Salad Bar and Crème Brûlée for Dessert
