Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Festival Friday Fun!!!
Today has been an absolute blast for all the campers! It was Festival Friday and everyone was wearing suncream, face paint and their smiles!
In the morning, some campers kicked off with Tennis Camp, Our partner Leysin Tennis has been running this program with us since the summer of 2018. The team coaches: Vincent, Christine, Daniel, Noah and Ko are very impressed with the kids' high level of tennis knowledge and are so happy to train them as everyone is super motivated, excited to get stuck in and competitive!
They play games with 4 and 6 fellow players on the court, such as Kings of Court, Station, Around the World and ups and downs, with either double or triple-ups—training for a big tournament at the end of the week.
The other campers spent their morning before the festival doing a variety of fun activities, including the red boy's adventure activity "forest fun" where they tried Slacklining and other adventurous activities in the woods!
At midday, our campers all headed up towards the stunning Profandaz (a mountain-top campfire site surrounded by stunning mountain views and Lake Geneva). After a delicious BBQ lunch, they were sorted into one of four teams: earth, fire, water and air! Each team had to make their own team chant, wear festive, colour-appropriate face paint, and compete in races and a tug of war! The day ended with a wickedly fun carnival full of activities such as "Oily Pig", "Gladiator", "Tight Rope", "Fortune Teller", "Name That Tune", "Monster Munch", "Karaoke", "Stomp" and "Grumpy Bear Pong"!
Both campers and staff had an incredibly fun yet exhausting day- and are heading to bed to rest up for excursions tomorrow!
