Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Excursion Day
Saturday has arrived and has brought about a change of page to camp! Our colour groups packed their pic-nic lunches and headed off in their unique excursions to discover more of this beautiful country!
Yellows and Green (Grellows) went to Maison Cailler to see how real Swiss chocolate is made (they even got to taste some!!) followed by a picnic lunch and a fun time shopping in Vevey. Afterwards they had a snug movie night back at camp and went to bed, satisfyingly exhausted.
The Reds took the bus to the humongous and incredibly entertaining Lausanne Olympic museum! This was also followed by a shopping spree in central Lausanne!
The Blues had a fantastic and full day. They went shopping and exploring in Geneva City, followed by a powerful and inspirational visit to the Red Cross Museum! Afterwards they went to Montreux Jazz Festival (a highlight for many) by the stunning lake Geneva. They enjoyed strolling past the music stands and glistening water, just taking it all in! They all left back for camp after watching the sun set vividly over the mountains and lake!
Everyone had a fantastic day, but are definitely ready for a good nights rest! See you tomorrow!
