Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Alpine Adventure!
The sun has risen on another beautiful day in the Alps, and the campers are determined to make the most of it!
The Reds got the ball rolling by heading off on an overnight hiking adventure! The Reds that weren't hiking got to have fun either bouldering, swimming, playing mini golf or tennis! They all ended their day by having a gorgeous campfire in the sunset-soaked mountains!
The adventurous Reds weren't the only people who went on an Alpine adventure today... The Greenies also went on a fun hike to a mountain cheese farm and shop to try some cheese and ice cream! They came back for a yummy lunch and then headed out to slip and slide in ice skating, run around in field games and then end their days with the Yellows with the hilarious "Petting Zoo" activity!
Before joining the Greens playing "Petting Zoo", the Yellows had an active day rock climbing, dancing, playing beach volleyball and street hockey, making friendship bracelets in art, performing yoga, going to the gym and shooting their shot at archery!
The Blues pushed their limits in mountain biking, before trying a variety of unique activities such as Frolf (frisbee golf), Bobsled (" feeeel the rhythm, feeeeel the rhyme, come on everybody is bobsled time!!!), and Parkour! They wrapped up their day by gliding around the ice rink in ice skating!
As usual, Football camp scored with our sporty campers, as they honed their soccer skills! Languages and STEM classes continued to make excellent progress! The English classes got creative writing a script while the other class discussed stereotypes. The whizz kids in STEM built and programmed a pinball machine which not only worked marvellously but was also a joy to play with!
The campers have all been adventurous and open-minded, this week, and have really taken to all the opportunities presented to them here in Leysin! We can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for them!
