Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Festival Friday
The eagerly anticipated Festival Friday is finally upon us, and even the temperamental weather couldn't keep our campers' spirits down!
However before the festivities started, the campers had their morning activities to attend! The Blue adventurers returned from their overnight mountain hike! Tennis Camp, Football Camp, STEM, language classes, Odd Ball Olympics, Nature Games, Arts and Crafts, Forest Fun and more were in full swing!
This Morning's Yellow Adventure activities were super fun, the campers played camouflage, and Joey acted as a sniper who had to keep his eyes pilled for any campers hiding behind trees and within the bushes. Whenever he shouted 'food and water', while counting down, every single one of them, sprinted to him to collect, and once again ran away to hide. Joey had to find all of them and distinguish who it was. They absolutely loved this game with giggles and laughter.
Both the Yellows and Red adventurers played the hilariously entertaining Ninja Squirrel. For the Yellows, Joey was once again blindfolded and sat in the middle of pine cones where he protected them. This game was about staying silent and agile, each team member got a chance to sneak into the middle and steal his pine cones, while the squirrel attacked them with some of the pine cones. The winning team was the one who had the most amount of pine cones. The Red Adventurous also tested their balance on the tightrope, and had a blast playing frisbee bowling in the forest!
Finally, the Festival got underway! Surrounded by the glorious Alps and a one-in-a-million view of Lake Geneva, the campers got sorted into elemental groups: Earth, Water, Wind, or Fire! They all wore face paint and clothes that matched their elements and made chants for their teams! Next: they competed against each other in fierce yet fun relay races and Tug of War! The fun didn't stop there though, as the campers headed back to camp for the carnival!!!
The carnival had everyone smiling and laughing! The endlessly entertaining events were: the mystical fortune-teller, oliy pig, gladiator, tightrope, "name that tune", monster munch, stomp, gummy bear pong, fancy football, hockey shot, darts, basketball bonanza, caricature, candy guess, strong men, face paint and of course karaoke!!!
Now all the events have finished for the day the points for each team will be counted and revealed soon....
Today was smashing, and we can't wait to see what tomorrow's excursions have in store for our campers!

- Lunch: BBQ: Hamburgers, sausages, sliced cheese, various salads, veg option: Veg Burger, Juice Boxes, Tortilla Chips
