Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
FRIDAY FINALE!!!
The 2 Weeks have slowly come to an ending, All of the kids, big and small, are preparing to go down to the village, gather some souvenirs for their family and friends back home and finish packing up their belongings. Tears and Laughter echo the hallways, as some are reminiscent on the good times from the past two weeks and other sign their VC t-shirts, in memory of hoping to meet their international friends and foes in the coming next years.
From the early morning, the Reds Adventure had an amazing shelter and fire building activity. They learned how to make a fire from scratch and what are the best tactics to start it and how to hang up a tarp well to protect themselves from unexpected weather approaching. While the Yellows Adventure enjoyed some fun forest games. They had a challenge of dressing up their teammates in the correct safe way to climb, some team building, walking on the rope skis, Trying their balance at some slack line and Frisbee trowing through the hoops to collect points. At the end both groups enjoyed some roasted toasted marshmallows and biscuits over the fire. The team from each adventure group with the most points, received a delicious prize.
The air might be a little bit low, as both campers and counsellors are sad to separate from such an amazing group of Village Campers. But spirits are still high, with preparation for a beautiful colourful Gala Dinner, viewing a slideshow of some of the best photographs we have taken, and a FINALE gathering in the auditorium. With, some finale shows lined up from out English and French Classes, our STEM group and many more shows from our different colour groups. A big warm Thank You to all of the staff at Village Camps for making these past 2 weeks an extraordinary experience, and Thank You to all the parents for bringing their children to join us at Village Camps for some wonderful summer fun, and to experience what its all about! P.s A very big Happy Birthdaqy to our Red Camper Haya!
