A Terrific Tuesday!
In the morning, our blue campers had a chance to test their climbing skills at the Quarry. They had to trust each other to safely help them get to the top of the rock, under the supervision of our experts.
After lunch, the yellow campers headed to the ‘’Mont Blanc’’ field to participate in various water games. With water balloons and water guns, the campers played a modified version of ‘’battleship’’, ‘’drip drip splash’’ and other mini games and happily competed between their counsellor groups.
The LTC campers spent the morning having a motivational workshop lead by the wonderful Mr Breezy from London! The workshop is to “help the young people believe in themselves, overcome doubts and ignite the ability to dream big and understand the greatness they have within them.”
The Red Adventure girls got stuck into a morning of survival training and shelter making in the “shelter” activity. They learned how to not only make a shelter with tarp… but also how to create a shelter from the nature around them! Additionally they learned how to tie knots as well as discussing survival tactics for if you were lost in the wilderness! A highlight of the session was the game “camouflage”- where our campers had to spy and hide from counsellors!
