Summer Camp VDC Geneva

16th July 2013

Another Action-Packed Camp Day!

We are just the luckiest Campers with all this wonderful weather we've been having.

The highlight of the day was for the 6s, as they spent the whole day off campus. They were supposed to go to the indoor pool but the weather was so lovely that they went to Nyon pool instead where they had some swimming lessons and free-play in the water. They also had lunch on the grass overlooking the Lac Leman. Once their picnic was over, they headed off to the zoo in Le Vaud. They saw many types of birds, a couple of wolves, different felines and many more animals. What an exciting day!

On the Luna Field many games were played which involved running and a little bit of screaming. In drama, dance and music, preparations for Special Day are well under way, with all groups practicing hard. The gyms, as always, were full of excitement and acrobatics and Arts and Crafts was full of colour and creativity.

The seniors got to make their own boomerangs in all sorts of different designs and wacky colours. After recharging for lunch they spent their afternoon testing them out on the top field.

Today was a somewhat musical day as the piano in the cafeteria was used by several children and members of staff alike. It must've been those Special Day preparations getting everyone in the musical mood; it certainly made for a jolly light-hearted atmosphere whilst everyone sat, talked and laughed whilst having their lunches.

Another day full of sunshine and many smiling faces an we are all having a fantastic time!
