Summer Camp VDC Geneva
5th August 2013
Welcome to the Third Session of Village Day Camp in Coppet!
The third session of camp is under way and the campers had a great day playing games and getting to their counsellors and each other.
All groups stayed on campus today and from the very start when they started arriving on the field this morning they all started making friends and playing
together.
After the introductions of staff to the campers they all went their separate ways to Arts & Crafts, Music, Gym, Dance, Drama and a special
mini-Olympics with the Sports and Swim specialists on the field. During these they were introduced to the specialists and what they would be doing and
practicing for the next couple of weeks.
In music, they were playing a game of rhythm, Arts & Crafts they went straight in with making pottery, Drama they played icebreaker/memory games, in
dance they were introduced to the kinds of moves they will be using for their performance on Special Day next Friday and mini-Olympics saw them play
football, relay racing and some catching exercises. Regular drinks breaks were needed, especially with this heat!
We are all really happy to welcome this new group of campers and we're sure they will have an excellent time here full of fun and laughter over the next
two weeks.
It will be hot again tomorrow so don't forget the sun cream and a bottle for refilling with water. It will cool down by Wednesday.
Welcome campers!
