Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria

16th July 2013

Battle for Piesendorf

And yet another beautiful and fun-filled day at camp! Today was perfect sunny weather, ideal for a day full of activities.

Breakfast was filled with sunshine and campers getting ready for a busy day. The morning was packed with things to do, from climbing to archery. Younger campers even had the change to take the local train to Zell am See where they went stand-up paddle boarding and swimming on the lake. Film, English, and German classes dove right into learning, games, and preparing for filmmaking.

The beautiful weather continued through a delicious lunch, and right into afternoon activity. Campers spent the afternoon outside doing beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, yoga, and ultimate frisbee. There were also some who escaped the sun and heat with indoor baseball, table tennis, and dodgeball.

The night's all camp game was Kunkin, or Battle for Piesendorf!!! The goal of the game is to knock down a cone that is near the other team without getting tagged. It had the campers running (sometimes falling) and working with their team to come up with a winning strategy. A fun, yet exhausting night.

Off to bed!
