Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Festival + Sun + Pool = Friday
The morning was as usual - language classes for language students, shooting the films for film students, and biking, climbing and SUPing for adventurers. This was especially great day for the outdoor activities as it was sunny and very warm all the time. SUPing on the lake on such a day is just perfect.
In the afternoon the real Friday started. The Festival Friday. The Clash of Camps. Everyone was divided in four different groups - fire, earth, water and air. Each team needed to prepare their presentation - it could contain singing, dancing, moving, whispering, anything really. They also needed to wear clothes that represented their colour for the team. Afterwards we went to the field to play some games (with water) and see their performances, so the judges could decide which team is the fastest, most supportive to each other and deserves the first place. After such intense activities, everyone was happy to enjoy themselves in the outdoor pool and eating ice cream.
After the dinner we got to know the winner -- the team Earth. They were the first ones to get real Italian gelato from the gelato van which suddenly appeared right outside of the dining hall.. And as a real festival goes, the highlights happened in the evening. There was music, food, activities and joy. For every game campers could earn special tokens which then could be exchanges for sweets or henna tattoos. There was also a fortune teller next to the fireplace who could predict the future.
It is now time to go to bed as the day has been full and wonderful and we need to get energy for tomorrow's hike.
