Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Busy, Yet Relaxing Day!
Today has been both busy and laid back at the same time. Today was Sunday, and the day that the campers all returned from the amazing mountain hut overnight excursions! In the morning the three groups of campers at the three different huts woke up and had a delicious and nutritious breakfast. Then they packed up their stuff and hiked back down the mountain and into town. The red and blue boys made the most noise when they marched into camp changing, left, left, left-right-left.
After the carious groups returned there was a great lunch of hamburgers which got all of the camp in the mood for the death by meat bar-b-q that will happen this evening! Secret friend???s was in the dining room today, since lunch had been delayed due to the late arrival of some of the hut groups. More of the campers are getting into the daily ritual and they are professing their love and friendship to their fellow campers on a daily basis.
After lunch the campers scattered to take part in all sorts of fun activities. Dodge ball, arts and crafts, soccer, yoga and the pool were all offered during the afternoon. However, the biggest hit of the day was the spa adventure put on by the counselors Paz, Paige and Lorna. Both girls and boys enjoyed the relaxing sessions in the sauna an Turkish bath. After a cold shower the group were treated to a facial. There were two choices of facial material, one was made of avocado, yogurt and honey, or one made of oatmeal and yogurt. The campers all had a great time, some even ate the facial material before washing the rest of it off in the shower.
The dinner after the spa night was a fantastic affair. The kitchen staff went all of preparing a fantastic bar-b-q with almost unlimited food for all of the campers. The day had great weather so many of the campers chose to sit out on the deck with the beautiful mountains in the background. It was a great end to the day.
After dinner the amazing dinner the campers split into groups for a movie night. The yellow group watched a film called Flipped while the reds and blues watched the film In Time where they snuggled up with pillows and blankets and munched on pop corn until they were sent to bed ready for the second week of activities.
